1.  Your roots need to be 100% dry to create long lasting volume.  If you leave any amount of moisture in your hair (especially the root area) it acts as a wick and will end up ruining everything you’ve worked so hard to create.

2.  Products are crucial.  You need the right combination of volumizing and/or texturizing products to make any style last.  Try using products with a soft hold and applying on towel dried or pre-dried hair.  Avoid products with a lot of weight and shine.
